My daughter telling me like it is:"There is an old man in your face daddy!"
Rented from John at Te Waipounamu (sp) rentals in Byron St. Turns out he used to live up our way and knew a few people I know. Good guy, and looked after me.
He only had an F650 registered at this time of year but considering the weather and road conditions it was probably the best option. Picked it up Sat avo and me and the Mrs tootled round town and visited some friends. Sunday got all the gear on and headed out to Akaroa for coffee and croissants. Good ride out but was a bit misty and drizzly. Actually was quite good being on my own cause I stopped and took photos and did touristy things. Came back over Gebbes pass and around to Diamond Habour for a nosey about before heading up Dyers(sp) pass and along the summit rd (misty but road was dry) on the port hills and home via Sumner.
Flying down (on airpoints) and renting a bike was a good way to have a long weekend break and will definetly do it again....next time in better weather!
Perhaps catch up with you guys then
