Graduated from uni and bored shiteless of your field of study?

I have just graduated, stuck in a bit of a rut and the last thing i want to do is continue with what i studied.
Happen to you? Did you go back and study something else or just jump into the wide world in a diff field?

Most Uni students I know really majored in getting pissed and fucking anything that walked.

How can you get bored of that?

I am finishing my third year and have one year to go next year, and yes I'm so totally bored with it all that I'm not sure I will actually actively pursue a career in the field I am studying. However, maybe after a year break once I graduate I may feel like getting into the field. Maybe have a break and do something completely unrelated and then you may feel like using your degree.

yeah thats the thing i had a job lined up and all but thought it would be a bad move if i really wasnt into it. maybe a good break and a few months hard work might spark new interest.

Haha we should start a social club where no one turns up.
I feel your pain. I am currently working on MBA while working full-time as engineer. Thanks to fricken winter and fluro tubes - I have no idea what daylight looks like.
My motorbikes are almost furniture. I got asked yesterday if they run......and I didn't know the answer.

I went back around for a second piece of paper

Sitting in a cold London squat, I decided that working at the bottom of the heap was a mug's game and that to get maximum $$ for minimum hours I needed a different qualification

It was a straight commercial decision that has worked out well for me.

I was lucky that I managed to find some work at the same time, so I didnt come out as indebted as budgeted

No education is ever wasted - but sometimes its relevance can be hard to see
