I just wanted to let you know there are still places on the scooter training this weekend.
It will be at 12pm – 2pm or 2.30pm – 4.30pm on Saturday 15 May at Wilson Carpark, corner of Melling Rd and Connolly St, Lower Hutt

The focus is on braking, lane splitting, mounting and dismounting, parking, bike set up, maintenance and riding in city traffic and will cost $50.

To ensure you have the skills to avoid becoming a part of those statistics in the future, ACC have contracted Roadsafe Motorcycle Riding Techniques
Ltd to conduct a Rider Assessment course to assess riders skills, and are sponsoring subsidised 2 hour training sessions for Wellington motorcycle, scooter and moped riders on Saturday 15 May 2010.

You are receiving notice of this program because Lynne and Andrew Templeton of Roadsafe have been given your contact details from the Commuter
Survey, the MTA Ride to Work Survey or through your employer.

Many scooterists, motorcyclists and commuters have benefited from attending a Roadsafe motorcycle or scooter training course, and are experiencing
greater riding enjoyment and safer commuting as a result of their increased knowledge and skills.

As a rider, the fact that you are still here shows that you are already doing something right, but do you know how much is attributed to luck vs great
skills?

The invitation to these courses isn’t only limited to those we contact… if you know anyone who would like to fine tune their riding skills and develop some new ones, they are welcome to register as well.

The courses are…

Scooter riders:
9am – 11am on Saturday 15 May at Clifton Carpark, The Terrace, Wellington
The focus is on braking, gear, maintenance, parking safely, and riding in city traffic.
Your investment is $20.

Motorcycle riders:
12pm – 2pm or 2.30pm – 4.30pm on Saturday 15 May at Wilson Carpark, corner of Melling Rd and Connolly St, Lower Hutt
The focus is on braking, lane splitting, mounting and dismounting, maintenance and riding in city traffic.
Your investment is $50.

Places are limited so bookings are essential. If you are interested in attending this subsidised training, or know of someone who might be, you need to
register before 5.00pm on Wednesday 12 May 2010.
