    My family

After 5 years away from my kids(in the UK) my youngest son (20yo) has decided it is time to take up his NZ citizenship and come and live with his old man.

This is a big step as he has been living at home with his mum, 2 brothers and sister.

He finishes college in June and hopefully will be here in July.

This is a momenteous occasion for me as I have really missed my kids.

I know he wants to learn to ride bikes so I warn you all now that "son of Merde " will be joining this thread.

Tread carefully with him as he is only a half taffy.

Brilliant news Merde, I know where you're at having 6 kids in the UK has been the only downside of living in NZ for me. Hope it all goes well for you and your boy mate.

    Missed them all growing up.
Came home in 2002, went back to see them in 2005.
    Havent seen them since.

Jon was only 14 when I last saw him.

One day his little sister will come over. SHe is only 16 now and in training for the 2012 Olympics so I dont expect to see her until after that.

Long distance families are harrowing, some times you feel so useless.

There are many of us in the same boat.

Family troubles are one of the many reasons people emigrate.

Outstanding news, best bit of news I've heard in ages! I daresay he will be taking like a duck to water here. If he isn't shooting them down next to you!
