You are looking mighty fine young Ed Bit sneaky though

Offering up a cup of coffee, then getting the guests to make it

Was lovely to see you so much better, you best give Jill that hug I left for her or else

And you found everything straight away despite my vague directions as to where the coffee and bikkies were... "Would you guys like a coffee? Here's my cup on your way to the kitchen..."?

You make a nice cup of coffee, too, by the way... you're more than welcome back again...

Was great to see you both today and I'll certainly give Jill a hug from you! Then I'll give her one from me...

Ha ha! Takes me back to childhood! Remember asking for a drink of water 'cause you don't want to go to sleep yet..?

The fact that she was in a state of, shall we say, undress of course had nothing to do with it... there's something about having the Missus wandering around in the altogether...

I had a lovely surprise today! PrincessBandit and Balu, (Baloo?), called in!

It was great to meet a couple more KB'rs in person! And of course being Suzuki riders, they were granted VIP status, (although they may not have noticed the difference... ).

Now that Germany is out of the World Cup, Balu, naturally, is backing the Netherlands to beat Spain and take the title. It's going to be an interesting game for sure!

I'm getting a bit "over it" with this injury, got another 5 weeks in the brace until the next x-ray but getting restless. Keeping myself busy as possible but since that pretty much entails working or playing on the laptop or watching TV, my choices are somewhat limited. So having nice surprises like KB'rs popping in makes my day!

I know what you mean, Ed. I've been off work only 3 weeks (today!) and at least I can get out'n'about. (Went for a 3km walk this afternoon, and wondered if I'd overcooked it, but I was fine). It's hard to find enough stuff to do, eh?
    ... and that's what I think.

    Or summat.

    Or maybe not...

    Dunno really....

Goodonyer! I can walk from the lounge to the bedroom and back and with the aid of my ACC provided stool I can go to the kitchen and make a sandwich.

Mind you there are things one can do that don't require standing up...

Yeah... horspittle is an excellent place to lose weight. The first time I was in (burst appendix), I lost about 5kg, and I was already a lean machine back then. This time, I gained 6 (fluid), then lost that plus another 6-ish. Despite now being on semi-proper food, my weight's still going down. Wish it was just fat, but it seems to be mostly muscle.
Anyway, good on you Ed, for remaining positive, and all the best for a speedy recovery. (I'm off to see if I can hang up the washing, despite being expressly prohibited from doing so...)

Was nice to meet you and Jill! We don't head up your way all that often but couldn't pass up the opportunity to call in while we were there.
All the best for your recovery.

Its alright for you guys, I GAINED weight in hospital due to all the drugs (steroids are a shocker) and swelling, then being so sick and unable to excercise for another month just compounded the problem. Now I am just cuddly
