I'da hadda ask their permission to take their picture, so was easier to just wait until they got out.

    But it's a start!

Oh shit - he was doing so well? Thanks for letting us know Maha, I will send him a text soon. If you hear any more Maha, it would be great to get an update. All the way down in Wellington and can't pop in and visit.

COME ON ED - Don't let this stop you! All our love to you and Jill.

Hi guys! Finally got on here, got my laptop with me! Can't stay on too long as it costs heaps using my cell phone as modem and each time I get a phone call it cuts the connection...

Doc's been around and shoved his finger up my butt, checked my leg function and gotta have urine test to see how the nerves are working. So far so good...

Hope to get scans tomorrow. Gonna shift the bed over so I can see the harbour. Pretty Chinese nurse being very nice to me... Hope they get me my drugs soon, bit sore at the mo.

The vertebrae that was smashed, while knitted together, has been squashed and the spine is collapsing forward. Like flattening a sponge with your hand. Spine is deformed, (and damn sore!), so the gentle exercise I've been doing is not the way to go, obviously... The only thing that doesn't hurt is lying down.

Thanks for the messages and texts, makes me feel good!

Well they're doing the scans tomorrow morning so that if they decide to operate they can do it right then...

So today I can eat, drink and be merry as tomorrow I may be feeling a bit cut-up about things... Hopefully they won't have to operate but whatever they decide will no doubt be what is necessary.
