    Update!

Happy day!!!!! I saw my surgeon this morning and he was pleased with the x-rays which showed everything in order. Nothing has moved or loosened so I can GET RID OF THE BRACE!!!!!

He said it may be a gradual withdrawal and that it will hurt a bit for a while and I may need to wear it at times until my muscles strengthen up, but to start by leaving it off a few hours a day. I can start gentle water exercising again so I'll be going back to the Leisure Center for water aerobics with the old ladies again. Maybe this time I'll even be able to keep up with them...

I just quietly and off-handedly sorta asked if I might be able to ride again... but his "No!" sounded fairly definite...

He congratulated me for being a good boy and not stuffing up his fine work and said he'll see me again in two months. So now begins the long rehab to trim and tone and get fit again! Look out world, here I come!

Thanks sweety! Don't worry, Mrs. Bear is being very tough on me! The last thing she needs right now is for me to go back into hospital!

No, thank goodness. Bleeding gastric ulcers make you feel really crappy

However, I can recommend the drugs they use for gastroscopies, instant off the planet. The staff are absolutely fantastic too.

The perscription for recovery sounds mighty fine to me, rest, no stress etc. I was thinking a move to Rarotonga was on the cards, now all I have to do is win Lotto and all will be sweet
