Is the 2KF head and rocker cover a matched set from factory? or can i use a 1JK head with a 2KF cover without any problems?

Yes they are a matched set,line bored for the camshaft.Assemble them bare and see how the cam spins.I think the 2KF has an extra bolt over the cam chain....from memory you can't mix them,but there was never a reason to try.The head studs are a different spacing,so you need a complete 2KF top end.Have you stuffed the cam bearings?
