Are your bike keys on a different keychain?

the bike keys [ignition and lock] are together on a mcdonalds toy keyring. its big enough that i can see it easily if its misplaced and soft, so it doesnt scratch. main reason i have it is cos the virago ignition is down the side and i was paranoid about losing the key when riding. the toy means i can feel it easily, and it matches the paint.
my house, mums car and luggage keys are on the same ring together. means i can leave the bike running while getting gloves etc from the top box. they have a "decoration," but i cant remember what it is.

used to just have bike key by itself...........dropped it one day while turning it on for a warrant test,lights,indicators etc.............it vanished down between the tank and steering head and lodged somewhere in the motor under the tank........what a fuckin nightmare gettin it back out............took about an hour,a couple of long tweezer things we made up and a third hand as i needed two bites at it to get it out............now have a plastic sort of tag on bike key...........soft so it wont scratch......big enough so it wont dissappear down cracks etc........and it floats......

Bike key is on rubber thing the bike shop gave me, car key is on it's own key ring and house keys on another. I used to have them altogether but the weight can wreck the ignition....also who want's to lose the whole lot (if you do lose things).

I have spares of all keys hanging in the kitchen and some spare ones hidden outside should I lose keys whilst out and about.

Wouldn't it be nice if we all had one key that opened everything pertaining to us....wierd

All my keys are clipped together when not in use, on a lanyard so they are easy to find, but when unclipped the bike key is on its own with just a blood donor (soft) keyring for company.

I got a leather key wallet made for myself about 5 years ago. It presently holds 1 bike key, 1 house key and 2 work keys. When not in use the other keys are tucked away inside the wallet and the nice soft leather prevents any scratching.

I keep the bundle of keys away from my bike key chain. My bike vibrates and the noise of all those keys jiggling around would piss the life outa me

My bike key is on a removable clip. You get them from M10, and have also seen them as clips on some HD bike jackets. So it stays in the ignition by itself, then joins the other keys when not in use.

get a nice little leather case for your keys and no probs. learned the hard way by scratching 1st bike to bits without key cover

I've got one of those small carabiners for all my keys. Just pop the bike key off it when riding.

I am dreadful for losing the bike keys at home, so I bought one of those $50 safes from supercheap autos and secured it to the concrete block wall in my bike gear room. All the bike keys go in there when I get into the garage, and the car keys. Always know where the keys are, and relatively secure too.

Where I live they were by the key cutting equipment. I don't know what you would call them though. They appear to be stainless. Come apart to two pieces.

house is combination lock, work is RFID so card in wallet, so that only leaves bike garage key, and plastics FLY logo which seems to protect it alright from scatches. Only problem on mine is someone attacked the triple stem nut with a shifting spanner and scratched the fuck out of everything round it. Ah well, new triples and forks going in it anyways
