I just googled it and Pumba and Henk are on the money, try this.... from http://oldmanhonda.com/MC/Rcarbs.html PILOT (SLOW) JET: the pilot or slow jet. This jet controls the fuel while the bike is idling and is normally in the worst condition. It can be found under a rubber plug and has a slotted head that can be screwed out. This baby has to be super clean! Soak it and blow compressed air through it until clear.PROBLEM: the pilot jet wont open up! This happens a lot and can be troublesome. You have two options; 1) buy a new one or 2) buy a carb jet cleaning set (offered in Dennis Kirks Catalog). The cleaning set is actually a set of small wires that can be used to push through the jet carefully. The other thing that can be used is a guitar string, sorry I dont remember which one. If you cant get a new carb of course... hope it helps some!

As suspected the pilot jet was the culprit.....CIGWELG tip cleaning tool, and a FENDER top "E" string - carb clean.....Houston we have lift off

around the track after racing was all said and done... more fun than you can shake a stick at!!! Thanks guys, you know who you are! cant wait till I can repay the favour

My day didn't turn out as planned. After the downpour yesterday, I came home feeling ripped off, as I really hadn't ridden enough.
Spoke to Henk last night, and talked about me going out "racing" today. i decided I HAD to do the practices and would park the bike when the racing started. Later on in the day, I decided I'd not do the 20 lapper race (honestly, it's hard holding the throttle open when the cramp is so bad you have no real control), but then I saw I had a grid position, so I had to go out, no option. But I could pull in around the 10-12 lap mark and be happy. Oh, but there's less than 10 laps to go, surely I can do another 8, oh, only 2 to go, I have to finish now.
Cross the line under the white, with the chequered just behind me, go to the turn and lose the plot totally, fark, I hadn't changed up & 1st isn't the one to be in hahaha.
Thank you to everyone in the B-grade today (plus the a-grade in the earlier practice) for tolerating an old tart riding around slowly.
I had a total blast and was grinning from ear-to-ear for a lot of the day. Tinted visor helped hide me laughing at myself.
Thank you to #19 (sorry, I don't know your name), as the first race I could almost keep up and had a huge enough time to keep on the bike for the rest of the day - gutted when you lapped me in the 20 lapper, but I earnt last place hahaha
I also decided it's unfair for seagulls to glide over the track, I stuffed up when I spotted one and suddenly was intent on watching it (there was no one near me at that time, I knew this, so the only danger was myself).
Trudes, you're still my hero, and thank you for the inspiration and support you've shown/given me, I am going to have to get an MNZ licence next year (which i know starts June this year), and now it's my turn to be last and hopefully get other females into it. (I still want to know what you're excited about hehehe). Shelracing gave me the taster for which I'm happy about.
Yeah, new bars are next to sort out this damned cramping

Good stuff Michelle!! Nothing wrong with last place eh mate, there's only one place to go from there and it's up!

I will post a pic of my sexy boy soon..... had a test and it's made him a bit vicious, so some mods will have to be done though.

Well I just figured out why I was having moments out of right handers whenever I got on the gas in the last race. Rear axle nut was coming undone. Oops.

haha Henk!
I remember during the BOB thinking that my bike was making some strange noises but put it down to having run for almost an hour in rain, sleet and snow..... until I got it home and realised I only had one engine mounting bolt left and it too was loose!!

I learnt, always check your bolts.

Apart from all the falls what great weekend. Knee was no better this morning so thaought I better head off to the physio. Nothing to major just a medial collateral ligament sprain/strain/tear/whatever. I go back Wedensday when the swelling goes down a bit and she can get a bit of a better look
