Why does everyone go home when it starts raining?
I just spent half of today riding around Hampton Downs in the pouring rain and I absolutely loved it.
The lack of traction makes things extra exciting and proved to be a great opportunity to learn a lot about my riding and I had a great time doing it.
Sure it wasn't really fast but next time I hit the track in the dry I know i'll be a fair bit quicker for having given it some extra shit in the wet and not had any problems.

It's somewhat less fun on slicks.
Rain riding improves your riding heaps. It teaches you to be smooth and consistent and your riding is better because of that.

I was one of the ones who cut out early today... The rain was torrential at one point... but by the time we got the bikes on the trailer and got to the motorway it was beautiful..... Definately the wrong decision.... I bet the last few hours were great.... Bugger.
Another great day from the HDRD crew though...

I got the first two sessions recorded I'm pretty sure... too bad I had all my fun in the sessions after that.
It sure was, once you figure out how much grip you have you're all good - even with road tyres you can still have a lot of fun.

It was so supprising how well behaved everyone was out on track.
Definitly difficult on track but fun day.

It was certainly worth waiting the rain out. Once the sun came out it made for a slightly more comfortable ride although
dodging the rivers wasn't much fun but it meant we had a bit more track time and a dry ride home .
Oh and thanks to all the staff at Hamptons they were great !
