MNZ Annual General Meeting 22 May

    Evening all,

Next weekend is the Annual MNZ AGM weekend, this year as well as the normal Commission workshops, the Board has arranged several Seminars on subject which every Club will be interested in. We are also having a Gala Dinner on the Saturday night, which will have MIKE PERO as the guest speaker.
The seminars will be presented by the following professionals in their fields.
    MEDIA:

    PRESENTER:
    Ross MacKay;
    Fast Company Ltd
    Auckland

Ross is the award-winning journalist, author and media strategist behind Fast Company, an Auckland-based consultancy with an internationally-recognised reputation for its publicity work. Drivers who have benefitted from Ross' insight and expertise include Indy 500 winner Scott Dixon and V8 supercar rising star Shane van Gisbergen, while organisations that retain Ross to manage their public profiles include KartSport New Zealand and the New Zealand Formula 5000 Association.

FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT & OBTAINING SPONSORSHIP & FUNDING.

    PRESENTER:
    Judene Edgar, BBSc MFINZ
    Tasman Fundraising & Development Ltd
    Nelson.

Judene’s company creates fundraising programmes for community groups, sporting organisations, schools and other not-for-profit organisations. Specialises in capital campaigns in small urban and rural townships. Offering trust and government applications, event management, sponsorship, donor development, organisational planning & development and publicity and communications.

The Board is very encouraged by the number of Club Delegates who have registered to attend. As at close of business Friday May 14, we had 50 of the 67 Clubs signed up. That is 75% which is well above previous years (2009 57%, 2008 34%, 2007 46% and 2006 30%).

    Each of our Sporting Commissions:
ATVs, Cross-Country, Enduros, Motocross/Supercross, Recreational/ Leisure, Road Racing, Trials, will be holding their own WORKSHOPS, with set agendas (refer www.mnz.co.nz under AGM). We will also be holding a workshop for Stewards/Officials and Safety.

We have also set time aside for Club delegates, Life Members, the Board and Commissioners to meet and generally discuss our ‘Sport’ in a convivial environment.

So if your Club hasn’t registered yet, please do so a.s.a.p. or if you are just an ordinary member and can be in Wellington over the weekend of May 21st – 23rd, call into the Duxton Hotel.
Attached is a copy of the weekend’s schedule

    Yours in Motorcycling
