Anyone made a screamer for radar detector?

HI i picked up a escort x50 and dont fancy wiring it to my helmet etc. ive looked at the H.A.R.D. system but i m unsure abou thow comfy they will be with the battery etc on the inside of the helmet? can anyone comment on this from experience?

also, im considering buildng a screamer with a led strip to mount ontop of me screen to connect to the radar detector. has anyone done his with success or tell me how to do it?

I have 3 led lights on top of my gauge cluster...it wa ssupplied as part of the unit when I bought it. I do not use the screamer that was also supplied, visual warning alone works fine for me

I,ve got a HARD and its sits uncomfortably in the helmet ear cavity and to be honest if you forget to turn it off it eats batteries and and is not that reliable....and expensive for what it is....I have a valentine and worth its weight ...

I find the visual alert on the TPX better than the audio alert - wind noise, earplugs etc...
