1000 is good, like when you reach the end of the school term.
2000 is better, like when you finish school completely (not including uni)
But 3000, the ol xxx, is the dirty one everyone is waiting for. Like when you have a house party, and walk in on a couple showering, who then ask you to join them

4000 you may ask? Ugh, 4000 is like when you realise the easy years of school and naked house party showers is over, and you have to get a job and work for the next 45 years... clocking up 5000, 8000 and no doubt 10000 posts, as you realise you're getting older - quick!
