Another warning re theft @ the track!

Everyone, remember to hide and lock away any valuables while you're at the track! While I was at the test day on Friday I had money stolen from my wallet and I overheard a conversation where someone had their wallet and phone stolen from their pits while they were riding as well.

This is not the first time I have had someone steal stuff from me at the track. The person who took money from my wallet this time, went into our van which that we had parked just in front of the stables in plain sight.

I might be a slow learner but you fulla's have been warned!

I presume you were at Manfeild? The local kids know there are rich pickings and the knowledge seems to be getting passed down. I've been going there since 1993 and every year the same. It would be nice for someone to catch the little fuckers and beat the crap out of them - sorry, I mean give them a stern telling off.

Yeah Manfeild. Don't worry about watching your words..... I would have loved to have smashed the bastard!!

It's happening everywhere now. You give them the opportunity and they'll take. Like Pete say's not like the good old day's!!

3 years ago at Manfeild we had a pit cart stolen. It was a cut down modified SUzuki van - really cool. THey drove it out of the circuit and smashed it up a bit. WHen the Police found it the little pricks were spray painting it silver but 'It we'ren't us officer, we found it'
They had to write a letter of apology (whoo hoo) we had to spend $3500 to fix the wee beauty.
    Assholes.

If at Manfield - watch out for kids on bicycles. There are there stealing.

This was mentioned a few years ago when a gang of toerags was patrolling the pits.
If we all continue to create a visual barrier with our cars , vans , large trailers etc then the bastards will always have an easy job.

The side benifit is the public wandering round can see the costly advertising from sponsors on the bikes so as thats the aim of all those stickers , why not kill 2 birds with one stone. Move the cars , promote those that support us.

Stand back from your own pit area and look at what a goldmine it is for toerags to take advantage of our stupidity.

Sorry to hear you lost what you did Helen , its never fun to find you have been taken advantage of.

    Paul.

That sucks Hells, can't say i saw anything untoward, but ya don't look for it neither ! Guess a wallet would make extra padding.... nahhh not an empty one like mine !
A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !
