    driftn retires from retirement

First up big thanks to stevie for letting ride his bike. Mate your awesome and its not true what they say.

Dean and I arrived at the track mid morning on friday for a bit of testing. First that gets said to me is gfdsfduynmnmiu hot. What was that mate? After the translater got there we found stevie was trying to say the bike is getting hot, and hot it was. Put some water in and a new radiator cap and problem solved. So after a bit of fluffing round and changing deans fork oil I go out for my first ride on a road bike in nearly a year, after the first couple of turns I thought ah shit I cant do this any more. Few laps later and things were coming back to me, how ever I did not feel good on the bike and called it a day before I threw it in the grass.

After a pretty good drinking session the night before I look out side and see rain. This pisses me off quite a bit as Stevie does not know where he has left the wets and I only had slicks to ride on.
Lucky for me I get a text say wets have been found and not to ask where they were.

Feeling pretty shit I get the wets on and get ready for F2 qualifying. I go out in the rain with a tinted visor and the bike feels fantastic. Come in and find im on row 2 and in position 6, very, very happy with this.

    Race 1.

Track is dry and im on wets SHIT. lucky for me every body was in the same boat. Get a pretty good start and and am sitting in 4th for the first 5 or 6 laps then see im catching 3rd. head down and I get him then think sweet thats me ill kick back and get my first proper podium (clubmans dont count). Kaki had different ideas and came past at the hair pin. We had a couple of battles then the white flag comes out and its go. Kaki comes round the out side on the last turn last lap and lucky for me the old 6 has a bit of poke and I out drag him to the line. I was screaming all the way through the sweeper down the front straight round t1 and all the way to the slip road. 3rd on the first time back on a proper bike.
    Best of 15.some thing.

    Race 2
Got a good start and then miss second gear and pretty much go back to last by t1. Big crash in splash and red flag. Hope you guys are alright.

Restart.... better get up to 5th and stay there for the first couple of laps the 2 bikes come past. As the bike was not feeling so good I didnt want to push to hard and will just take the 7th. Best time of 14.8, still no where near my pb but less than a second on my first time on the bike so should get better.

Sitting 5th in the standings thus far with biggles in 4th by 1 point..

Cheers to all that stopped in and said hi and to all the people hanging over pitt wall cheering me on and big thanks to the marshalls and the vic club for another fantastic event.

Luke...you're a cunt and I now know exactly how bad it feels when someone beats your PB on your own bike.

Fuck off, youre not getting it next round

Well well well, Dalton Jr Jr does his big brother proud. Again. Well done man.

Was having a chat with Craig this morning and he commented that you'd done well. The fucker's never said that about any of my rides

Roll on R II, shit's about to get real!
