Make them apply for 10 jobs minimum a week (or some appropriate number for the area), the moment they don't, cut the dole.

Same again if they refuse a job you offer them

WINZ will cut the dole if you dont apply for jobs, its not hard for the lazy pricks to get around this though, they just turn up to the interview unwashed and in bare feet and a singlet. They rock up to an interview, ask you to sign their piece of paper that says that they turned up, and then they bugger off.

? Not sure how this popped up from what you quoted of what I wrote, but you took me too literally. Which solution was I to be looking for? I thought i'd given one?

What I was saying is that i'll do whatever I have to do to keep myself employed, and not sit on my arse with my hand out, living amoungst scum, smoking weed all day blaming everyone else for my problems because the one major source of employment has left the dinky little shitbox town I live in. I'm flexible and will do what I have to, to succeed. If I have to move somewhere better than my crappy town to find work, I hardly find a problem with that!

To complain about something that happened generations ago, and using that as an excuse to not have work is bullshit.

Besides, should all these bludging fuckers stop living off the system, there would be more there for those who actually deserve the help.

I figured this was the case...

Cut their dole off under rule 303?

Had this happen at my parents company. They employed one of them to teach him a lesson. He refused to work for the day, would'nt do anything he was asked to do. They filmed it all from the office and handed it in to WINZ. Worst thing is I do'nt think it changed anything. He blatantly could'nt be fucked working and asked to be fired at one point.

He probably still gets the dole. Pit of death is the only solution for that shit.

Can we all remember back to the 70's and 80's and remember how many times the freezing workers went on strike at the drop of a hat....It is no wonder freezing companies looked to move to automation as soon as they could. The unions help fuck it for them. (freezing workers and the Cook Straight ferries, which always seemed to go on strike over the school holiday period.)

I have lived in northland for some years and spent a bit of time working in rural communities (Moerewa among them).

Sure moerewa has the appearance of a shit hole but then so do plenty of other places. I had the pleasure of working with a community group in moerewa and it was an eye opener. Most of the people I dealt with were great and really trying to help themselves and their community.
Yes there were some young drop kicks in for a free ride.............but i have not seen a place where this is not the case, and they were outnumbered by the genuine people who are trying really hard to help the community, and to get ahead.

so before you all jump in and judge them all..............these places are getting better but it is a long road to go down.

I agree, I am working at Whatuwhiwhi and there is a strong community spirit because everyone knows everyone etc but they seem friendly and have had no snoops on site, nothing stolen and people have only been friendly.
