T'was me sorry. I'm a mod on another forum that gets constant spam, and to be honest it was the first I'd seen on here.

Spammers are a constant irritation on any forum site, and the battle to keep KB clear of their crap is ongoing. We frequently scan the incoming members, often zapping the confirmed spammers before they even get a chance to post.

Fleet-fingered Mods have a range of functions available to quickly zap them, and remove their posts. Most will be expunged before many members are even aware of their presence, leaving most (like yourself) completely unaware that anything happened - as it should be.

Those members that respond to the spam, particularly those who quote the spam posts, simply create a much bigger clean-up job, which needs to be done manually. If you see spam posts going up, simply click Report Post, to alert the Mods.
