New technology website run by sad ex-(for now) biker

Having taken a hiatus from biking due to f**king redundancy last year I've started a website dedicated to all things geekery.
www.witchdoctor.co.nz is where you'll find the latest reviews & news about sodding great big tellies, hifi gear, photography and all sorts of cool shit.
I'm working towards buying next years mutha ZX10R, but until then I'm immersing myself fully in the world of gadgetry and all things nerd.
Check it out why don't ya...

Nice site, but a Mac on the home page? That's just sad.

2nd. I fucken hate the overpriced things.

Another thing, why buy a blue ray player when you can get a PS3?!

PS3 is double the price of a Blu-ray player, and pointless without games ($100 each) and a waste of money for anyone not interested in gaming or who prefers a different platform.

Running a game console just to play a disc is overkill and wears out an expensive device.

    Personally,even if I had a PS3 and I was mad keen on blu-ray, I'd buy a Blu-ray player.

Blu Ray is grossly over-rated. What do you think torrent sites are for?

? Blue ray players range from $240-$1200 on the DSE website.

A 120G PS3 is $500, and you get a lot more functionality. $100 is for a brand new game, second hand and platinum are much much cheaper, and just because you buy one does'nt mean you need to splash out on games, you could just hire them, or know that you can should you want to/have a nephew over etc.
The majority of purchasers in all reality wo'nt be watching that many movies realistically to wear out the PS3.

I actually assumed they must be a better quality of player (better pic) or something to be able to sell, but if that is not the case i'd in no-way buy a Blue way player when I can get a full gaming console for a similar price.

Some Blu-ray movies are stunning, some are merely fantastic, and others are hard to tell the difference from their DVD counterparts.

I wouldn't lower myself to watching a torrent sourced movie, I'd rather wait and watch it in the best quality my hardware can display it at.

Why would you want to convert that way??? Seems a bit backwards?

I dunno, torrent sourced blu ray movies contain same info don't they, at bout 7 gig each you would hope so anyway!. But I agree some movies just aren't worth blu-ray, massivly CG ones generally are, Avatar, Transformers 1 & 2 etc.

I wish I was rich enough to pay $30 for a movie I'm only going to watch once or twice. So I'm guessing you've got a good home theatre system as well?
