So what does you other half think about riding on the back.

Does she love it/hate it

Will she only get on if the weathers nice

Or does she simply refuse to get on "that death machine"

Myself, I'm pretty lucky. It could be pissing down with rain or bitterly cold, she wont hesitate to jump on the back.

Although she doesn't like wearing the bike gears, not fashionable enough

In fact it's a constant struggle to get her to wear any type of protective clothing. If I left it to her, during the summer she would just wear shorts and jandals.

No space for a pillion on my Ducati, I have a mono seat unit.

Sometimes we go for a ride on my R100 GS round the block

I consider myself lucky.

My girlfriend was happy to give it a go on the back providing she had all the right gear.

So.... one Shark helmet, Technic gloves, Shoei jacket, Prexport boots and custom made leather pants later she keeps telling me we should go for a ride the next weekend!!

How much did it all cost? Don't ask! thankfully I only paid for the jacket.. the rest of it was necessary cause she's too small for all the mainstream cheaper stuff!

But the great thing is that since she's spent all her cash on the gear she's going to be a bit reluctant to stop riding ( IHOPE)

she'll only get on to please me but i can't go fast or lean too much.

i've had many rad chicks on my bikes though, some that just begged for more lean and acceleration, that was awsome.

but i still prefer riding alone any time.

If she wants to go pillion, we have to use HER bike! I've had single seaters for years, AND THATS THE WAY ITS GONNA STAY!!

Anyway, she says, being a pillion pussy is not for her, she wants to be in charge! (ooh yes.. but, thats another story.....)

Mind you, my ex wife used to read books and even go to sleep on the back......until she almost fell off when I hit a rather large pothole at speed......

I be one of the lucky ones, she loves it Oh yes the more riding the better

Even insisted she buy her own kit, which I gratefully accepted

Does have an issue with doing over 8 hours in anyone stretch,, but sometimes I have even had enough after 8 hours

Even had her on the Gas Gas the other day, problem was there were no rear foot pegs, so insisted riding with her legs around me waist, got so weird steers on that one

tho dont have a current girly,
all the chicks i know are always bugging me and a mate( to borrow gear) to take em for a spin, tho the ol 250 slows up markedly with another on the back! Still, they cant stop raving about it to their friends, so that makes me look good!
only problem is, half the time, when leaning around the corners, they lean the oposite way, have to give them a stern talking to after each ride!!!

anyway,
the more chicks into bikes, the better for us

she is not too keen to go on the back, and really has no interest in bikes.
Will only go out if it is a good day or if I am riding with my bro and his wife, as they ride at a moderate pace.
I get punched in the kidneys for, speeding, leaning, and once for making a moderate overtake(moderate for a bike that is) she refuses to buy or let me buy her gear, which looks stupid as I wear a 2 pc.
so I have taken off the foot pegs and bitch seat, which suits me fine, as I really do hate 2 up.

Let the bitch walk.

Unless she is riding her own.
