    Dyno costs?

    Hi Guys,

Does anyone know how much it costs to get a Dyno and a good place to take it in Auckland. Got a bike with a few mods and want to know how well it goes plus also to know its tunned right.

Take it into Red Baron. Get them to do a Service+Tune+Dyno.
They may do the Dyno on its own as well. But the Tune got me about 4 extra bhp

Yeah Red Baron is good and doesn't charge F all for a dyno run. Mind you if you're after a read out that you can brag about it's not the best place - their's reads about 10PS down, but it matters not if you want to get it tuned or do more mods in the future as it's really just a number. If you're bike reads 110PS and you go away and change something and you get 115 that's really all you need to know. Or there is Triple Z out Manukau way.

cost me around 3-400 I think, for a tune, which had a base run then the tune. Depends how much you want, how easily it goes etc... Would recommend that any performance mods are completed before tune

    Really?!!

Sweet - so my old FZ1 was pumping around the 135hp at the wheel mark. sweet!
Here I was thinking that 125hp @ 100NM was good

Tuning can be like asking how long is a piece of string.
If you just want to find out what state its in at the moment $70 to $140 depending on how much information you want.
$70 full throttle HP and tq
$100 full throttle HP tq + ega info
    $140 Full 1/2 1/4 throttle hp&tq + ega info

Tuning costs are just time related, how good/bad the tune is at the moment, how fussy you are, carb/efi etc etc.
Generally speaking including base runs 250-500 But you dont really know until you do it.
    hth
    cheers
