At the rate he was riding he would have been on the course for an hour if he wanted to.
No one else was close but then nobody else was on a trials bike either.
If he didn't win it would only have been because he thought he had an unfair advantage.

Is that why the copper turned on the red & blues when we went past on the way down - we were riding too slow?

I believe the slow race was judged on merit (not just who was slowest) and the guy that won went really slow on a really big & heavy bike (Maybe a Harley Electroglide or something similar (I'm not too sure exactly what it was)) and it probably wasn't unfair to judge him as the rider that did the best job of it. Like you say Carver was the only one on a trials bike, therefore his going slowest wasn't as huge an achievement.

    You Poofta.
You are staying home to do some painting.
I thought you were giving the Cold Kiwi a miss 'cos you had something important to do this weekend, like washing your hair.

Surely if you didn't do that this weekend the kitchen would still be there and needing painting next weekend? Haven't you ever heard the saying 'never do today what you can put off tomorrow'?

Gees, of all the weekends to have a polar blast come through!

Bikes are already packed and ready to go. Might see if I can fit an extra jersey in tho - yay for bungys and drybags

Have upped my doseage of concrete pills, and will assess in the morning!
yeah it looks like it's gunna be a goody. Rain's a bitch a bit of snow lets you know you're alive according to the seven day forecast it'll be realatively ok tommorow a bit damp/snow friday night then clear but as cold as a 'mother-in-laws kiss' on saturday.
These are what the Kiwi's are about, these are the ones we remember the best.
,If you want fine weather try a summer rally ( although thats doubtful)

Trouble is... will it start.... is there somthing similer to sea legs to help ya from being sick in such a foreign land. I am starting to feel semi ill already.

Bring on the rocky seas though, nothing could be that bad that a few pints and cold mince pies could not fix.
