A few of you have seen it, but I have written a blog entry on my experience at the CK. Sorry about all the typing errors in it, but it felt good to be able to write about it all.

A mixed weekend really - an absolutely brilliant trip to the North Island () and the Cold Kiwi. At the same time a massive earthquake in my hometown doing it's best to scare the living daylights out of everyone and destroy the place. Not to mention feeling a little guilty

Great to meet some of the NI folk! (yes, really).

Big thanks to Sels1 for putting up with us over the weekend, much appreciated.

More later after I sort through my photos and do a proper write up.

    Bad news!
    How did you manage that?
    How long is a while?
    Female or male nurses?
So many questions. You may have time to elucidate. This post is just a teaser.

Big yes to the flush toilets! Self inflating matress is ok but still needs a blanket on it to keep the ground cold away. Offered to zip my sleeping bag to MamaJos! Offer declined!

Brrrrrrrrrrrr, true on the toilets? I have issues with bike event toilets/any enclosed, freestanding, single bog after being locked in one (you know the sort with the bit of wood that turns to lock the door) I got locked in one once at a motocross, young bunch of really cool "boys" thought it really funny to turn the outside "lock" after I went in. They thought it even funnier when I begged them to let me out. I ended up rocking the fucker until it tipped over to get out.

    Double sleeping bags are yummy

Oh mum - i can see your issue with the toilet thing. Not laughing, I promise! But yes, big thumbs up to the flushing toilets indeed. But mental note to self... TAKE TOILET PAPER. When they run out on the first day you know its going to be a long weekend. lol - all was fine by the next afternoon, but it really put some people into a panic haha

they were regularly checked for paper but not often enough, every time I found them low I advised the right people, sometimes the punters could pass the message on , meantime I'm sorting out a better system so the club doesn't have to service them sometimes less than an hour from full to empty.
If you run out you can always use some of the yellow pages, make sure you use at least three sheets otherwise "your fingers will do the walking"
