The Wall Will Be Built Again

Come warm yourself at our fire, its the one with the wall of wood. My daughters bike is not ready this year still to be revinned. So her BF is driving down. Car = more of those creature comforts we all love. May not need to take my trailer this year will make for a quicker ride down, but then the trailer is part of what I do for the Cold Kiwi lol

    Sweet - getting excited now...

Brought me a super sleeping bag last week! Now need to figure out how to strap it all onto the Boulevard, but when there is a will there is a way.

Picking up some heated hand grips next week too - yes yes I am a major softy but I'm only little so warm is good.

Looking forward to meeting some knew folk there, what a great weekend to look forward to!

I've got some panniers you can borrow if ya need them. They have served many a cold kiwi, but have been retired for adventures on the trailbike.

Hey cheers Eugene - very kind of you. I got some oxford panniers that will be good on that bike so I'm all good. Just not quite sure yet how I will fasten the tent, sleeping bag, and matt on the back seat but I'm sure I'll suss it out.

You still heading up Friday? Last time I checked your route involved gravel?

I've decided to opt for taking the road (original route posted without the gravel) and am trying to find someone else to ride the WR up.

I've spent a couple of weekends at the site recently on working bees, we put in another two blocks of toilets, more hand basins and they now have lights. Chopped a lot of firewood for the smaller fires and of course the main bonfires are stacked high, mostly done earlier this year so dry now. A run around the site with a harrow to get rid of all the cow shit, new burnout pad, cleared some of the tress around the hill climb to get better views and runs and the list goes on.
Need to get hold of the caterers to stock marshmallows now, there's plenty of fires to toast them on...
