    Manfeild Extended Track!

Hi all you Racers out there who have Raced on the extended part of the track at Manfeild. Just wanting to know what your thoughts are on it when you 1st went around it?.
Did you like it or not?.
I have never been on it before and have heard that it is quiet fast but very flat.
I have been told by a couple of people that I should give it a go to see what I think of it.
    Your thoughts?.

You will LOVE it on a SS150!! For us bucket racers its easier as there is no camber and is pretty flat. Once you get used to it it is pretty much full throttle on our little bikes from the left hander (mind the bumb as you enter the corner!) through the forst right hander which is WAAAAY faster than it looks then another right hander which is pretty much the throttle open through it (once you're used to it) until the hair pin and then back on full throttle again. The hair pin is really tight and if you can brake alot later then you can usually gain a place or two coming out of it!
If you like I will take you for a walk around it on Sat morn/ fri evening. we are staying at the track too so it'll be sweet as. Walking a track before you ride it will definately make you feel more comfortable with it. Go on, you know you'll love it!!

You will definately use more fuel per lap & it will take longer to get around - is that enough words of wisdom ?

I really like the long track, first time i went round it i found it a bit off putting because there was no edge lines, the extension is deceptively quicker than you think but the asphalt repair on the long left hand sweeper before you come round back into Dunlop really needs some attention.

Went around the new track when it was first put in, did NOT like the fast "off camber" rear courner the first time around, you can get into some serious trouble if you drift wide! (the edge of track comes at ya pritty fast as you exit...and its not marked clearly!).
Otherwise it is a good wee extension.
Have fun but take it easy the first couple of laps, just till you get the entry and exit lines sorted for that back bend

PS: havn't been up that way for quiet some time...are the truck "racers" still screwwing up the track for us bikes?? (they use to leave HUGE ripples in the track on the entrys to all the fast courners...friggin annoying!!...skip,skip and all that)

When Life thows me a curve
    ...I lean into it!

Its great fun, but like many have said the asphalt repair (If you can call it that?). Is pretty crappy when your coming back on to the old track. It does take a little bit to get over but shouldn't be too bad on the 150's .
However don't let that put you off it, up to there its mighty fun!

Best of luck skip! Any question's gives us a yell.
