    Mom's half century (Sat 3 July 2010)

    When Anne was born......

    : The Beatles were just insect larva
    : JFK was still a senator.
    : Rock Hudson did not he was gay.
    : Television was a month old in NZ.
    : Peter Snell won gold in the 800 mts.
    : Evil Knievel was Pole Vaulting for the US Army Track Team.

    The year was 1960. The date was July 3rd. The place was Montreal.
    Fifty years on, the celebration of this accomplishment will take place here at our place.
    Saturday July 3rd 2010.

    Ah, 50! I remember it well, I was young and full of beans... Oh, hang on that was only two years ago...

    I felt sorry for Jill when she turned 50, she was dreading it, but she's still a hottie and she's getting used to it. These days for some reason many women simply don't look their age, and I'm sure Anne could still pass for 49...
