What is there to do in Ireland?

Been summoned to Ireland for brothers wedding next year in August. Had a quick look to see what else we can do while there and nothing interesting really came up.

Anyone been there and got some ideas on what could possibly entertain a mid 20's couple?

First week in June would be a much better time

Yup, first thing I would be doing is checking out the road racing calendar. Apparently the drinking after the races is almost as entertaining.

They have a proud road racing scene. Should be obscenely fun to attend.

Get to know the locals really quick, so they can show you the best of Ireland.

That's a bucket of arse! All the way to Ireland & no road racing. Gypsy fair? Horses, dags, brawling & fat weddings..

Go leprachaun hunting? Or ginga spotting? Start a potato plot? I don't actually know much about the ol'celtic tiger (or formerly so!) At least you are off to a different clime and on holiday!

Well I did see this last night http://www.liveleak.com/view?i=c9d_1336308120

I guess this is real Irish road racing

There could be a chance of Dundrod or the Ulster GP which would be fantastic. All depends on the dates. Currently one of them falls on the wedding date.
