I still got paid out by insurance of at fault party even though I "didn't have the right licence", as it was immaterial to the crash.

In that time I've also been stopped by cops for "routine checks" and may have paid an infringement or two. But at the end of the day, owning a well maintained bigger bike that goes well beats paying 5G for a learner raped 250.

Don't let the haters tell you it can't be done.

The above may well be the case, however one would potentially be 'looking back' for an awfully long time time should one have the 'misfortune' of being in an at-fault incident.

It's not hating, but it does rhyme - civil litigating - in which the multi-national insurer is 'Bubba' and you have dropped the soap...

I can speak from (client-file based) experience - lives can be destroyed in insurance litigation.

If that's a risk you can live with...Breakaway was admittedly very hard done by, but the attitude of the insurers should have served as a loud warning as to potential consequences if one was at fault.

At least on a 'legal' bike you can enjoy the principle of indemnity even if you are hard done by or a complete numpty.

Anyone can do anthing that is physically possible - it's just that some things have (potential) consequences. Oh, and small bikes are great fun - can ride at 10/10 and still live - try that everywhere on a big bike. (I have both; I love both - for different reasons)

Both wheel rims are away getting a charcoal coloured powder-coat at the moment. Think white would probably look better when clean, but I enjoy riding far more than I enjoy washing wheel rims!

fuck yeh, in reverse order of awesomeness (though the 31 and 30 are pretty much a tie)
    NC30, best small engine honda
    MC28, best two stroke honda
    RC31, best honda V twin
    RC30, best honda

    anyone spot a key similarity?

and the RC40 sits down here cos its totally brutal.

Interesting, hadn't read about the RC31s before, they look pretty neat. Vtwin with what appears to be the same frame/swingarm as a NC30.

    Awesome.
