Nasty highside! Aaron Yates did the same late March and is just now starting to walk.......So - end of Rossi for the year - he's got nothing to prove......

Yeah I have done that break too, I was out for Just over 9mts too. Shows what specialty care can achieve aye.

I am gutted Rossi is out. It will be hard to recover in the championship now, unless some misfortune befalls Lorenzo.

Bad Buzz. I'm sure he'll be back, and he's had an amazing run so far. With racing...you can only go for so long without some sort of nasty injury.

Nasty nasty high side at speed. Totally gutted.

Farkin' aye! High siding a some 200kph is not MINT!!! Hope his recovery is swift and good but fer christ sakes don't come too soon Rossi, flag this season I reckon and get better properly get back into racing hard later on in the season, as has been said he has nothing to prove.
Will be very interesting to see who rides his bike in the next few races, will it be Edwards? Will it be Spies or perhaps Toseland or even Crutchlow? Or someone much more random..
And even more interesting how with this spin out in contract negs later in the year?

Nicky Hayden made a good point:
"He’s bigger than just the competition, the whole sport just isn’t the same without Rossi. If you do get on the podium tomorrow you’ll be thinking in the back of your head, ‘well if Rossi was here it might not be like that.’ Nobody wants to see a guy in a lot of pain"

Interesting image here - just before the defining moment (great to see he had his 'poker face' on. Mind you, given his current hair-doo, I'd suggest he should leave his helmet on...):

that was a huge crash no one wants to high side at over 200kph. That is his season over so he might aswell make sure he is 100% well before he returns. Get well soon rossi. ( dam i will have to change riders on the fantasy league now. )

If Lorenzo goes on to win the title (which I'm sure he will do) everyone will say it's only because Rossi crashed. Which is a shame. While I'm sure he won't want to win the title that way, it's the way it goes sometimes. Gotta stay on the bike to win. Ask Stoner.
