Yeah a few repairs needed to the leathers, don't think I need vents where they are at the moment.

Bit embarrassing the second fall but Gav I can confirm that there was 80% grip, just not 81%

so. . . looking at the entry form - the fee structure does seem a little biased to getting you to join the BRMC. . . This probably seemed like a good idea, but it does make it $20 to $25 more expensive for people traveling to the event.

Sorry about that, we figured that $65 for non club members was actually not a bad price considering the amount of track time and yes if you become a member its $5 cheaper so that a total of $60 for the day. Basically the Club had no money to run the event and like you say the extra 20/25 all adds up. It’s all about growing this club and making it what it should be but unfortunately that means ruffling some feathers for the good of the club.

Hope you and others can still come down.

The cost didn't bother me so much as the principle of being taxed for being a northener. I mean I can't imagine any traveling SI guys turning up to an event up here & them saying, oh that'll cost you more because you're not from 'round these parts.

When I go to trail rides run by Horo club they give their members $5 discount. If you do enough rides it is worth joining the club, if you're local it makes sense anyway. But to do it on one event?
I'll just pay up & shut up, but you get my point yeah?

The Cams Club did a simular thing at Methven Street Race. There were 2/3's of the 120 strong field that were more than happy to join the Cams club to race at that meet. This was more angled at the local guys that choose to race buckets but not see a need to belong to the BRMC, this is our way of ensuring the club grows and stays strong. Dont worry the extra money is for the GROWTH of the club with some cool future vision that the current committee has, oh and maybe a trip to Philip Island for the next MotoGP round.

Basicly this has come down to a few of the local guys questioning the value of joining the BMRC.........Here is the value!

Racing a bucket at Philip Island would be awesome.
I wonder if that would be televised.

Bren and I just discussed the North Island having to join the club thing, and for all North Island entrants it will be wavered, as I explained it was really to get the locals supporting the club! Sorry to Dave and any others looking at coming down from the North......you now have more beer tokens to spend on your hosts!

Awesome. Now that is fair & encouraging people to travel.

There you go NI guys, an incentive to come down. As I said I have spare van space, will cost you your ferry tickets & some gas money. We can sort accom for free (bottle of wine etc).

If you and YowLing start on the front row the Northerners (I better be careful what I say here as I used to be one but have moved to the dark side-turned into a Mainlander) won't be going home with anything except with dented pride. Lol

Very little chance of that ever happening, we'd have to all slow down for them
