I have made it a habit to cancel my indicator as soon as I change up a gear after the intersection.
    I (almost) never forget.

Yeah that works well. I also double-check mine are off when approaching an intersection I am proceeding straight through. Press-press-press!

There are lots of other times to check they are off too, especially on the open road.

I've been caught out by the indicator thing in the past. Now have a pair of superbright green LEDs wired into the indicator circuit, mounted on the fairing mounts and aimed at me. Very hard to miss

Haha, I didn't type it, so I didn't correct it.

Are you really that insecure that you need to list the five times that anyone's ever agreed with you?

You are talking to me again. Why is that? Do I know you?

You couldn't care less whether I was insecure or otherwise.

Most of them were joking - but it was lost.

Funny - I searched the first one "I am a licenced motorcycle instructor, I agree with dangerousbastard, no point in repeating what he said" - the guy was on here for 6 post and never came back. I wonder if it was a real account ?

I wonder if he made the mistake of following any of DB's advise (sic).
