    as a side point.. what is a reasonable time to wait for insurance to accept a claim? being serious now... cause its been 3 weeks and they havent done a thing.

    I have a copy of the "Fair Insurance Code", on pdf here which I can email to you if you want. I just can't figure out how to attach it to this post.

    You should have received updates at least by now, letting you know your claim status, and what if any further info they need from you.

    Happy birthday weekend,all birthdays on Thurs roll into the following weekend.Enjoy the days.

    Gotta luv insurance companies,they take your policy details bill you the first 2 months at same time(usually)to be a month ahead,then take 2 months to pay out.Our claim 3yrs ago for car was pretty bloody quick though,took time for panelbeaters to get their costs etc,then insurance said money in bank next day,took about 2 weeks or so.
