    Triumph 1050 Daytona

I know its not really what Triumph were thinking when they designed my 2006 Speed Triple.
All I have to do now is mount the fairing properly (ie: not with cable ties) A bit of glass work and a coat of paint.
The Scorched Zebra look just has to go! Possibly the Union Jack in its place...
Having just completed a bit of a road test on it, I cant beleive how much just clip ons and a fairing have transformed this bike!
Bring on the summer race season!

I got hold of the BEARS racing club throught thier website before starting.
As I plan on doing sound of thunder next year and dont want to travel all that way to have my bike protested.
What they told me was Engine and frame must be of non asian decent. Wheels, Suspension and bodywork can come from anywhere.

Im trying my best to hide the Honda in it. The wifes pre '89 Honda Bros is getting the Bug Screen off the Triumph. So I now have a Triumph that wants to be a honda and a honda that wants to be a triumph.
I need to stop drinking before heading out to the shed.

Bah. All the sheep go out and buy real race bikes that have a chance of doing well in their class. I like doing things the hard way.
Seriously, I would love a 675, but cant bring myself to sell the Triple. So need to race that until I can afford another race bike.

Not too sure bout the torque, i thought around 100nm but its hard to tell with so many numbers bouncing around the internet from over ambicious owners and dealers.
From what I found last season, power and torque seem quite similar to the jap 600s. But thats just on track comparisons.

A girlfriend once asked " Why is it you seem to prefer to race, than spend time with me ?"
The answer was simple ! "I'll prolly get bored with racing too, once i've nailed it !"

    Bowls can wait !

Mine is pretty tired at the moment, but its getting a freshen up in the next month or two.
I will be interested to throw it up on a dyno then to see what I get (and what more i can gain!)
