this is exaculy why i stoped posting race reports on here, all ive had is support from people for continuing the race..i dont need the approval of forum bitchers who are against me.

My sponsers were wrapped i finshed the race...if i listened to you guys id be slower and without 22 points.....Sorry if im a 'maniac" but ive never hurt anyone on the track to date..and i never will......

from what ive seen max you are a good rider. but riding with out brakes will easliy turn nasty, imagine what would have gone down if you had of crashed and taken someone with you. as i said before nothing personal but you should have done the safe thing and taken a dnf

thats a fair comment jeff, i would of taken responsibility if i had taken someone else out. But to be fair when your out on the track your decision making is different, i was guttered about a dnf in race 2 so i was on a mission to get points in that race.Although it was dangerous i kept my disance from other riders as much as i could and to my luck it worked out perfectly. It probualy wasnt the best thing to do, but i will prevent it happening in the future by preparing my bike better, all i can say is im learning. -Max

then i went to overtake a slower ss150 bike, my front wheel lost grip coming into "spash" at about 110km/h, both me and the bike slid for about 10 metres.

my front brake master cylinder came loose so i had no front brakes. {would of been loosened in the crash but not looked at ;[ } I passed about 3 or 4 bikes, as the master cylinder got looser i felt my brakes dissapear from me. Then as i was coming the down the front straight at 160km/h i felt no brakes!, so i clicked down 2 gears and jammed my foot the rear brake which made me drift into turn one perfectly and overtaking another bike. For the rest of the race i drifted into corners, since i couldnt scrub speed off i went faster into corners than i had ever gone.

Ok mate. Firstly...I'm all for people having a go and racing. And I know that sometimes you may get confused about what the organizers of the meeting might tell you etc. But I saw your wee biff in 'Splash', and I can assure you, if I was race steward, I would've kicked your sorry ass out of the meeting due to the fact that you wandered off the track leaving your bike in a very dangerous spot. I understand that sometimes they're better off left to the officials, but your bike was on the outside of the track, and could've been moved without you having to walk across the racing line to remove it. Mind you...looks like you were unable to upright your bike on your own.

Secondly. You're full of shit. Backing it in? 'Drifting into turn one and overtaking another bike'? If your front brakes ever fail again for whatever reason...get your fucking bike off the track.

There shouldn't be any 'to be fair business' you should accept that you made the wrong decision, I can understand that sometimes in the heat of the moment you don't make the right choice but that doesn't mean it is ok or it is an excuse
How do you take responsibility for crashing into someone and breaking their bones? or seriously injuring them?? Use you magic wand to make it all better?

While it may be good you learned to ride with less brakes, I hope you do learn from this and don't do it again and put everyone else in danger

ahaha ur funny, even the flag marshel couldnt lift my bike, i had to help him!, would you rather me on the track in danger trying to lift my bike or off the track out of harms way??, you must be the biggest retard on this forum.

I could almost accept your decision (although not condone it) if it were the last race of the season and you needed to finish the race to win, but at round two, it's just dumb. Especially when you're gonna get a whoopin anyway.

Woody firstly I want to say good on ya for gettin out there and doing it's a real learning curve and one many have taken before you and made the same mistakes and different ones but this is how we all learn to better ourselves in the sport to achieve what we what. I would hate to think you would stop posting your race reports up as we all like to follow each other lows and highs in the sport.

I have to say self preservation and that of others is also paramount in this sport and taking a win over a life is not the victory of the black and white flag...sometimes we all have to give up and suck it in and take to the next meeting with another angle on things. Hell I saw a F2 rider pull into pits cos he couldn't see out there in the conditions ...that's sucking it in, hard as it was for him to do this he did it out of his self presveration and that of others on the track...

The call you make to throw it in will also be respected...the call you didn't make and could of will only end the wrong way..

Anyway Chum...excellent write up and next meeting we will see another...take care till then

Point 1: Sponsors wont be happy with this sort of public attitude and display you are making here Max, you are not helping your cause what so ever!

Point 2: You cannot and never will be able to guarantee that you will not hurt anyone on the track, you may try your best but as recent experience tells me it is far easier than you think to make a mistake and take another rider out, let alone increasing those risks by racing a bike with no front brakes.

It's ok to make the wrong choice, we all make wrong choices, it's the way you deal with them after and admit fault and learn from them which gives people credential. Swearing at people on forums (that you don't know who they are) will never help you and can do nothing but hinder your future possibilities. Road racing is a very small group in NZ and word travels very fast so think before speaking.
