    My first race ever!

Over the weekend I had my first ever race!

We went out in Practice / Qualifying and in lap three I decided to swing to the left around a right hand hairpin and fell off the side - Oops. Hence to say by the time Dwight realised I had fallen off and managed to get the chair out of he grass we qualified 10th or last.

The first race was going really well until we hit a false neutral at the back of the track rocking the bike all over the place giving me the willies! Dwight got a big kick in the back and we really backed off the gas for the rest of the race, but we still got a 7th place - wahoo!!!

On Sunday we did go out for practice as we made the decision it was time to put wets on rather than slicks - this was a really good move. The race went well and we gained another 7th place - wahoo!!!

Race three the track was drying out and we thought awesome we will have really good grip on the treaded tyres - WRONG. It was a wild ride both Dwight and I were being thrown all over the bike and I happened to swing out to the left on that same right hand hairpin, this time managing to hold on though, but this race was hard work! We finished 6th in this one though so we are so happy!

Thanks to all the sidecar guys for giving us heaps of advice and help on the weekend - it was really appreciated. SIDECARES rule and we'll be back for the next round!

The next round sidecars are at. I've been told I need to shout two boxes as it was such a dork thing I did and Dwight's got to shout a box as well. Looks like we'll be broke before we even get there ha

A guy (SS90) filled in for me at a street race demo the sidecars did at Rakaia years ago, he did exactly the same thing you did the only difference was he didn't fall off

What's he have to shout for? haven't you been told yet, "It is always the swingers fault"

Not so Pretty billie. If every sidecar competitor had to shout two boxes for every 'dorky' thing they did they'd be a bunch of alcoholics.
One is the rules, two for a rider it is in good old quart measures though 8.952 litres but 9 litres is near enough
