    No all coils are not created equal.

    A common upgrade on early Ducatis is to upgrade the coils to gaina vastly improved spark. We typically upgrade these to coils that provide greater than 30,000 volt output and replace the leads at the same time to Magnecors or similar. The improvement in running is almost unbelievable on these bikes.

    When upgrading or replacing coils the primary reisistance is the most important value to match, but on some bikes a tolerance of up to 40% difference casues no issues.
