Just what we don't need these days...

Was following a dude on a black late model GSX750F going in and out of the traffic down the Gorge. When he saw he couldn't get through the gap, he revved the nuts of his bike and beep the hell out of his horn until they pulled over a little for him to get through. Then the car driver either got the finger or a mouthful of abuse.

    Hey, take a chill-pill Dude !!!!!!!
We don't need this sort of negativity in this day and ages.

I enjoy riding to work and like to keep it that way. Car drivers most of the time do their best to let you through anyway. I give them a friendly wave, not the finger if they don't get out the way.

    Police Officer Nudey, OUT.

They do? Usually car drivers are the ones with the attitude. I've lost count of the amount of times some middle aged asshole with family in car in his late model holden had to overtake me unsafely at 130+ after I passed him in a passing lane. And I especially love when they speed up in passing lanes.

Overtaking on the inside on the back wheel probably does that for you...

I found it scary reading that as the description could nearly match me apart from a few minor differences and one major difference.

late model black GSXF 750 - early (90s) model black GSXR 750
loud Horn - horn so feeble it's embarrassing so I Never use it

I find most car drivers are good at letting you through on the morning commute.
Smoke 'em if you have 'em

They are until they cop a heap of abuse.
Commuting over the same track at the same time you get to remember the same cars, for the most part they are fine with filtering and either don't do anything silly or leave a little more room. Then over a two week stretch a motard was running the same track but beeping, swerving, taping roofs and mirrors. I kinda felt sorry for him because he had obviously lost it completely and it was going to stay lost...
Anyway it changed my trip for the worse for a few months after.

Funny.. must be the morning for it?! I zapped some fella on a ZXR off the lights into the Welli motorway tunnel (Staying under 80km/h limit officer) and after exiting the other end he went flying past me at what looked like through 120km/h.

Its not the speed.. Traffic officers will get those types.. it was the weaving ducking & diving in front of me as he gassed it to the horizon. Surely its time for all Riders to remember in Winter that the road is slippery & cage drivers often act without indicating. Granted a ZXR is a low cost bike.. but a life ain't!
If I had a GF I'd like only ride 5 times a week!

Today as I was coming home at about 6pm in the dark, a van coming the other way had his high beams on for ages and I could see his lights glaring in the distance and got closer and closer until he actually got close enough to me to decide that maybe he should turn them off now.

I flashed him my high beams to show my disapproval, so of course the prick turns his high beams on full before he was even past me, just to get "revenge" on me for me calling him a cunt for not dipping his lights soon enough.

Sure, we can be pricks too, but there are some real pricks out there in cars as well.

It's just the human condition. Remind yourself they are having a shit day and you are having a great day - its about them and nothing about you. When it's your turn to have a shit day you get your little tantrum too, and it's nothing personal about anyone else.

Let it go. It's not about you.
