I totally agree - nice guy, but I was confused by: "A young boy in a family ahead".
If it was family, couldn't they have sent the kid in, and sent one of the adults back to the hotel to get the missing ticket?
Or was it something weird like nice guy Kerry had an Adult ticket which got the kid in; but the ticket in the hotel room was a kids ticket which wouldn't get a family member who went to get it, back in the stadium?

They should have introduced Kerry to the Chinese deputy chairman and sent Russell Norman to the footy so that he could wave his little flag there!
