Agreed. I played for years than coached and ref'd for three years and I don't recall ever seeing another player pull a hollywood. The only one I recall was me in a friendly game where someone tackled me so I leapt about three feet in the air and crashed down like I'd been shot in the leg. All in good fun though.

Good on ya. Do that a few times and they'll get sick of it. I suppose it comes under the heading of 'ungentlemanly conduct'?

Perhaps if more keyboard warriors played soccer they'd realise it's a proper hard sport. Can you spell...arthroscopy, groin strain, concussion, shin splints, pulled hamstring?

I see this thread has slipped away down the line even though they are playing again tonight!

Even though I am not a soccer enthusiast I still wish them all the best for the game tonight, it is their biggest moment yet and they are representing NZ! (in black, our real national colour)

So yeah, go the all whites in black! Good luck!

Pretty close game so far, maybe Paraguay are showing their superior ball retention.

NZ's biggest problem seems to be Paraguay's midfield defence. As soon as we get the ball we just get pounced on by the midfield. We need Bertos to throw a few more corners I reckon.
Paston must be just about asleep compared to last time too.

And what was with the slap on H Valdez' head about earlier on?

Should also mention that I'm very impressed by the lack of theatrics this match, on both sides. Just getting up and brushing themselves off, good on them.

It's not just the same with the black jerseys.
