    Glubbs

Given that I am a spendthrift and a wastrel (my old man's very words...bastard!) I decided that I needed another pair of glubbs today - I always like to have two pair available and given that the original Spools are very nearly extinct, I trundled into Boyds to see if they had anything left over from their sale - which I missed, buggrit...

They had one last pair of "Teknic Thunder" winter gloves left which seemed to fit, seemed reasonably heavy-weight for the cooler season, seemed to have a reasonable level of protection inbuilt and just to top it off, had the little windscreen wipers attached to the forefinger on each side...(woohoo, toys!).

    So I bought 'em. $110.00.

Anyone used 'em before? OK? (Too bloody late really, I already gott'em, eh? but still curious to know what others have thought)

Oh and how waterproof are they if you know?

Least now I might wear a pair - got to Otorohanga this morning and discovered that in the gloom of my house, pre ride, I had put on one leather glove (left hand) and one synthetic glove (right hand)...didn't even notice, FCS...

I want a pair of these to replace my now dead gloves, unfortunately the wholesaler has no xxl available until November as that when winter hits in the northern hemisphere.

As to them being warm in summer, I never found in the two years I had mine they were to bad, perhaps once or twice at most.
Its not the destination that is important its the journey.

xxl huh? your hands must be bloody big...I usually take L but these are M and fit pretty much dead right. They were bigger than a pair of another brand's L actually so the cut is generous I would think...

Do you crush granite rocks by hand for a living maybe..?

Wasn't too bad although the left hand got cold - the one in the "winter" glove BTW...stopped for a coffee and a thaw at Troubador - nice coffee!

lol nope no crushing of rocks, they do seem a generous cut but I understand they are an American sizing as opposed to the usual Asian sizes we get. The wife had trouble getting a pair of Teknics small enough to fit her.

Ahhh - that would explain it...I was surprised to fit a medium. My hands are real square - to get a fit across the knuckles I usually end up with extra room in the fingers...which is what these Teknics are like.

if you are coming into town from te awamutu end, go into the main street, past bike torque (where i work), take the first road on your left, follow it round to the right, and its the only building on the left hand side, you can't miss it

Right - I know roughly where that is.
Is Bike Torque the Suzuki place?
