Achievement is not always success while reputed failure often is. It is honest endeavor, persistent effort to do the best possible under any and all circumstances.

my beautiful list of incredible songs just gets snowed under by all you people posting way to fast!

You can add Enya to the list of songs.. They have quite a few that get me misty eyed, full in thought and memories, so I won't post them all.
Athair Ar Neamh being one of them.

Another one hijacked for 9/11 memorial, but one of my favourite pieces of music.

The occasion...Picnic Day on Groote Eylandt about 2002....11.30pm under flood lights and just after a massive fire works display.

The entertainment....Glen Shorricks Little River band with a bunch of young Maori Kids mainly from Sydney calling themselves "Hokio" as a support item.

The mood...well late at night on a flood lit footy field, tropically warm and enough to drink all round.

What happened?...there was a quiet pause all the lights dimmed, one well built Hokio lad stripped of his shirt in the spot light and began to play that really wild Guitar Solo from Once were Warriors Track 21 on the Album...the rest of Hokio's well built lads removed their shirts and strutted ... in a very Haka like fashion....then....

....then they continued with the theme from Once were Warriors...track 22.

Afterwards? A stunned silence in the warm tropical night. Lump in your throat....goose bumps down your back, ...hair on the nape of your neck on end....not a dry kiwi eye in the house...and there were a few burly tough miners amoungst those...Years later when you talk of Picnic Day on Groote....That is the moment "Everyone" remembers....
