The govt in the UK are creating a website asking the british public which laws they'd like to see scrapped... a new Freedom Bill is being drafted...

Clever on the face of it, but the thing with 'law', is that it usually has all sorts of loopholes in it, and over time laws get patched on here and there to fix it, so while it's a big hotchpotch, it's a hotchpotch that sort-of works. Throwing big basic lumps of it out will quite likely put the legal system back in patch-it mode leading to side-effects that no-one foresaw. So I'd be just a little careful about the intent of the person who proposed it, administered it, and finalised it, as you might get (or lose) more than you bargained for.

This could be interesting, depending on what they decide to remove, if anything.

Straight off the back I'm reminded of the Walkerton Tragedy. :P Cut costs, downsize government, remove regulation and introduce new problems.

Aye. the courts will get a lot busier too, from people re-challenging their case against the new laws... we'll need more lawyers. It could all go horribly wrong too. enjoy your freedom
