    Netherlands knock out Brazil

I haven't been following the soccer since the All Whites got knocked out, but I get this phone call at 7.30 this morning with a very excited voice on the other end of the line. Balu is currently up in Holland (land of most of his family) and has experienced now first hand the Dutch madness of celebration.

He said it was something to experience - a town square full of hyped up Dutchmen all going nuts over their win against Brazil. He's not a soccer fanatic particularly but couldn't help but get caught up in the partying going on.

Oh well, while I'm at it (since I no longer have NZ to root for - make that cheer for) GO NEDERLAND!!!!
I lahk to moove eet moove eet...

LOL!!! It was a bit of an upset too! My son-in-law is from Germany, (spent most of his life there but was born in Israel), and we import product from Germany so we are both hoping Germany gets through. The German company we deal with is not convinced that they can do it, so we're looking forward to the match.

Hope so. I put $5 on Argentina to win before the cup kicked off when they were paying $7.50.
