    Bumpy bump anyone keen?

It was brought for a much loved honda fireblade and will bolt up to most things as long as the fork clamp fits.

Hey there, Yip I still have it. I think it would have a good chance. It was originally fitted to a honda cbr.
Do some measuring. It has a uni mount so it can fit lots of models.

I dont know how thick your fork leg would be either. New rings can be bought for it.

It looks mint as, and if it'll fit, even better.

I don't actually know the effects of a steering damper, I'm buying it on looks ^_^

Care to explain what difference you felt?

Unless your bike is twitchy or nervous in the front, or flaps around under power lent over over bumps etc then you don't need a steering dampener. It's essentially a shock absorber without the spring, so it affects the movement (or the effort required to move the bars) of your steering. If it's too heavy for your bike and doesn't have adjustment it will only slow your steering.

Yip bang on.. This is adjustable so you can set it to a desired stiffness. It does slow the steering dependant on its setting. It comes into effect during quicker movements and the smoother the bars are the better it turns. eg hitting a stone on the road... getting into a slapper... Putting the front down in a slight turn etc etc

A steering damper will not fix a twitchy badly setup machine though.

You're buying a $400 steering damper for looks?

One of the joys of having money is being able to spend it on what you want. It's better than buying 3 grands worth of chromies and tyres for a $200 Civic.

True. Still, $400 would probably go a longer way on rebuilding the front forks or maybe just a couple of OHLINS stickers for the bike?

Blah blah you've all had your laughs.

The bike got reversed into by my flatmate (german female slag whore bitch) story is too long to tell. (long story short it fell into the fence with it's own weight after being knocked)

Insurance is replacing all the fairings as side mounts broken, front mounts broken, broken windscreen wingmirrors etc and i have a particular paint scheme in mind. Something Tyga painted.

It's having that paint job done as the fairing graphics are a myth for a 1992 CBR250RR (mc22) that and i like it.... a lot.

So i'm building on the image with the steering damper. My bike is being re-born with me at the controls

Also, front steering is NOT confidence inspiring even after having the forks serviced. Was hoping this would help

I completely agree. From what i've asked and researched, a steering damper should help. a bit. They also look cool and the colour almost matches the new paint. There's 3 reasons
