    The Crewe murders

I have (for many years now) believed that Janette killed Harvey then killed her self a few days later.
    Murder Suicide if you will.
I read the David Yallop book 'Beyond Reasonable Doubt' at that was my conclusion.
I always thought that the woman seen holding the baby outside the house was infact Janette.
Seeing Vivienne (Thomas) on TV last, it now appears that my own thoughts on the murders have been wrong.
Up until now, Len Demler I feel, knew about the murders and helped dispose of the bodies.
I thought that he dumped Harvey's body in the Waikato and when Janette killed killer herself he dumped her body there also.
That scenario is now probably not what happened at all.

    The case should be re-opened.

Demler did it I reckon. Not much point reopening the case when they couldn't solve the Kahui case though is it ?

The Police at the time were all over Demler but out of know where, they arrested and charged Arthur Allen Thomas.
Why? because they had nothing on Demler and they were un immense pressure from the Government to charge someone.
Even Thomas's brothers dont believe it was Demler, but some farm hand that lived close by.

Interesting...one of the Kahui twins was named Cru (Crew)....

I think it was the cute little redhead who was left feeding the baby ...

Maybe if the shithead family actually spoke the truth what happened it might have had a different result.

But your comment is not surprising, bag the cops instead of the inbred family who lied their way to an aquital.

My thoughts on Kahui were bullet in the head for the parents, sterilise every other family member, and adopt the kids to someone who will look after them properly. That "neighbour" principle again.

Friend of Flow's, are you? (last night's 10/7)
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

This particular case, with its planted evidence etc etc etc, is what destroyed my faith in the New Zealand police force. A faith that I have never fully recovered. Pity - I've known quite a few cops who were pretty good people (and the odd arsehole as well). But the organisation as a whole I now view with a degree of cynicism.

Subsequent political interference had the same effect on my diminishing faith in the independence of the judicial process.
