Numerous in my cars, including an excellent speed camera ticket of 147 km/h with smoke clearly visible (coming from back tyres) as I tried to slow down in my 83 VH SS (4.2L V8)
Worse ticket would have to be at 18 years old, borrowing a friend's damn near new GPZ750 and passing my gf's house in Oxford St, Naenae.
Had to impress her and her friends so pulled the front wheel up and did the most amazing wheelie all the way past the unmarked police car parked just two doors up.
Needless to say, this involved a visit to Lower Hutt District Court for a Dangerous Riding charge, namely 95km/h in a 50km/h zone - on one wheel.
My luck was in - Thursday morning, in front of the JP's (Justices of the Peace) where I went into a long and lengthy discourse about stripping the carburretors on the bike that morning to try and cure a sticking problem which had (unfortunately) occured again as I test rode it.
To ming (and my mates) astonishment the charges were dropped and I walked away from the court room.
Needless to say, the incident cost me a few beers that Friday night and my friend was not too keen to lend me the bike again...
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.
