Ain't that the truth. Thinking about the ABs, you get a young guy, give him glory and fame and more cash than he knows what to do with and then wonder why he does stupid shit? Especially after a big game where suddenly he's everyone's hero. I swear that when the ABs played in town there were more guys in black suits running around keeping an eye on them then there were players. Some of them were OK, but some were total dickheads and I had to throw a well known forward out of the bar once for being a drunken twat. Fortunately while he and I were "discussing" his status as a customer a couple of minders arrived and took control because he was bigger than me, very pissed, quite aggro and really didn't want to be kicked out. It was one of those situations where I wondered why the hell I worked as a doorman.
Don't blame me, I voted Green.

I used to work the door on a club that was quite popular with some of the Crusaders and ABs and worked quite closely with the ABs minders because the moment the boys turned up this pack of dirty girls was all over them like a rash. Their minders used to get very pissed off and we were often asked to throw the dirty girls out for intox.
Michael Laws, Andy Haden and Paul Henry wooooo hoooooo!!

Perhaps sports "stars" need to be more mindful that despite women (of varying ages) throwing themselves at them perhaps they need to keep their pants on (and zipped up) and their hands well clear of the merchandise being flaunted at them. Sadly between women taking advantage and "crying rape" ( some do, and not just with high profile celebrities) and high profile celebrities thinking that their status puts them above the law maybe it's time to get back to some old fashioned restraint. No, I'm not talking handcuffs here..... But being able to exercise personal control rather than giving in to the immediate gratification which may well come back to haunt unexpectedly.

Ya what? In this day and age of 'It's not my fault, because..."?
Personal responsibility is soooo yesteryear, don't you know.
Do you realise how many holes there could be if people would just take the time to take the dirt out of them?

Another thing in this day and age what's the diference between any so called celeb and joe public,I would think there is plenty(exagerated)of women passed out and taken advantage of which we don't hear of due to the embarressment the lady feels about herself.Whether money was exchanged for undies and wallet who cares, the facts are Brooke was a wanker, and his actions are really hitting home 20yr later,he will loose his wife(if she has brains)and foodstuffs are looking at his ability to run his supermarket from a moral point of view, very stupid situation to be in or get into.

Again a question of context - I've been out with some women who have preffered to be unconsious around me... I think it was my aftershave.... (truthfully, even in my most - um - aroused?? state I would not find an incapacitated women desireable.. I dont think drink, drugs and sex are compatable

An interesting comment on the radio this morning: Word Cup of Thugby in South Africa. Girls were collecting ties from team members that they slept with.
Teams ran short of dress ties...

I don't see why you should be crucified, Hayden's comments are factually based as has been evidenced time and again, however he had a role in the next World Cup, and that is not about Rugby, groupies or what ever, but about NZ maximising the dollars invested in the Cup. He was asked to help promote the cup and its benefits being in NZ, if anything the weasel wanker who appointed him and then found it impossible to get him on the phone to fire him should be told to "retire" as well. McCully is a waste of space and should have shut the man down long before this. Hayden is more than entitled to voice his opinion, however when he is offered and accepts a role as an ambassador on behalf of NZ he needs to think a little before he speaks, and when he speaks actually be coherent and make sense, as his comments as played on TV didn't actually make a whole lot of sense anyway. His reference to Hugh Grant - he was nabbed by the police, the lady concerned also faced prosecution and as far as Robin Brook was concerned, that had nothing to do with the girls but a lot more to do with the family - he had been married only 8 months and was already spreading it around again.
Don't judge me based upon your ignorance.
