I thought he was getting a Factory Honda to ride but not in Repsol colours?

Good job. I reckon in 'softening up' the Ducati so everyone can ride it, he's lost the edge he had with it.

But did he perhaps only have an edge when the bike was clearly faster than anything else, on most occassions during his world title year? Everyone of course has immense talent at that level but now there are ''cracks'' in that team Casey doesnt look as sharp as he use to?

Yea - going from the "Screamer" to the "Big Bang" firing order has not been ideal for Stoner obviously. But with the limit of 6 motors now, there is an endurance factor that has to be accounted for. What will be interesting is later in the year, as (apparentely) many are already on their 3rd or 4th motor. But does this mean they won't return back to motor #1 or #2 etc later in the championship? There will be many different theories there no doubt - like - Have Ducati de-tuned their GP10's for better endurance and perhaps better performance later in the year. Who knows!

I think they have built the bike to get the other riders further up the order...and that doesn't suit Casey, he has regularly talked about front end feel. has also gone back to previous Ohlins Fork.
He is very much the point and squirt rider...I bet he would rather the high power screamer V-four...and more front end feel, for brake feel deap into corners. rather than mid corner feedback, nice throttle response and precise turn in...like alot of the rest.

Stoners bike was no faster than Rossi's Yamaha at the end of last season...and the way Stoner rode it at Phillip Island is something I'll never forget! That to this day is THE best riding I've ever seen from any racer I've watched.
