One Road in, One Road out is the downfall with Karori. And the local "shopping scene" there leaves much to desire. And it gets freakin' cold and damp in southern Karori.

It does have the Makara hill/road in close proximity though.

    Evening Rie,

    Welcome (soon) to Wellywood.

Silverstream/ Pinehaven and Blue Mountains are absolutely beautiful areas. The trip into town provides the opportunity to wind your way into the morning ahead and wind down after a hard day. We always have Flats/ Units and Houses advertised at work primarily within a 10 to 15K radius of the CBD.

Currently there is an over-abundance of apartments here as the place has become saturated with them. If you have a price range and preference (beach front, hill, etc) or type of accommodation pop up a note.

    K

So what are some of the areas I should be looking at that would meet my needs? How far out can I look, realistically? How long would it take to commute in from those areas?

    Many thanks

We just moved from Mount Cook and had the same problem while we lived there with bike storage, and couldn't find a garage. We used Storage King on Adelaide Road, and they had a space we could fit two bikes in and drive into, for about $170/month, and it was a short walk from where we lived. Hope that helps.

    Hey Rie!

There are a LOT of apartments in downtown Welly that are offering free car parks with apartments due to an over supply of them...and cats are no issue in most.

I have a nice apartment 200m from our store...and my car park fits my car and two bikes easily. Quite a few of the apartment owners have cats and even small dogs.

    Pete
