    Metallica going to Christchurch

    http://www.therock.net.nz/Metallica-...8/Default.aspx

Before they play their Auckland shows. What a crock of shit! If they had announced all 3 shows at the start it would have saved a lot of people a lot of stress. This whole promotion has been one gigantic mess.

I am a huge metallica fan, I have not been stressed at all. I have resigned myself to not attending any of their NZ concerts *sigh*

EDIT: Good for Chrsitchurch too! The fan base down there did a huge amount of work to get the band to consider a visit, if I could afford it I would go to CHCH for the concert, I reckon it is going to go off

The crock of shit is the way people buy out all the tickets, simply to sell on at inflated prices.

Which is mostly down to how ticketmaster has been selling them.

well, I refused to deal with scalpers and hence was likely to miss my chance to see the most awesome band ever............... (for the 3rd time, moot point)

however, as this announcement was made, a flood of tickets to Jaffaland venue were offered up by southerners that would rather keep it local....now have a secured a set of tickets to Jaffa concert #2 at original retail price, no scalps required

    Just ride.

Problem is the venue in chch is 9000 capacity! so tickets gonna go fast! all those people selling there tickets for the auk show should just keep them, at least they already have a ticket.

Agree. The Chch concert will be cool for the smaller crowd atmosphere I think, and I will be trying bloody hard to get us tickets for it. If they suddenly decide to do a Wellington gig I will be trying extremely hard to get tickets for that also and if I have tickets for both will look at flicking the Chch ones off for cost.

I never thought I would see Metallice once let alone twice in 3 weeks...woohoo! Already have flights etc for Auckland so wont be offering up my tickets. Seeing them play in Chch was too hard to resist so got my Magnetic zone front standing tickets today.
